In all places

And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places wherever you go ~ Genesis 28:15

Taking up a new job, relocating to new town or country for a better standard of living, taking up a job transfer, shifting to a new place for specialty medical treatment or higher education, going abroad or settling down in ones own native place can be quite an exacting experience. For with it comes the stress, worry and anxiety of how things will turn out to be. We get fearful wondering.how will it be in that new place?….will things work out well for me?….will I be able to adjust?….will I get what Im looking for?….will the kids adjust to the new environment?…..will the new neighbourhood be a good one?
 
Jacob worried in his heart about such an uncertainty. Having left his parents back home, Jacob was now enroute to another country. It was a long journey and the sun had set. So he broke journey and tarried that night at a certain place and rested against a stone. And tired as he was, he fell asleep. And something amazing happened. He had an unusual dream. He dreamt of a ladder connecting to heaven with the angels ascending and descending on it. And God stood above the ladder and said, And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places wherever you go These assuring words of God comforted and strengthened his fearful anxious heart.
 
The Bible reassures us that we need not fear or worry when going though times of transition, because God is there. God will undertake every need that arises and even help us cope with adjusting to a new place and handle all the paraphernalia that follows. When we follow God and trust in Him, we can be sure that wherever we go, God is with us. He will keep us, He will sustain us be it a new office, a new neighbourhood, a new town or even a new country.
 
Prayer
Dear Jesus, I thank you so much for your promise that You will be with me and keep me wherever I go. Lord, You are my security.
