As a teenager, Sunnihit Gahlawat encountered a classmate who would profoundly change the course of his life. Himanshu, a friend unlike any other, possessed a quiet strength and presence that immediately captured Sunnihit’s attention. There was something about the way Himanshu spoke, carried himself, and cared for others that left a deep impression. Their friendship quickly grew, and soon they were engaging in meaningful conversations about life and faith.
It was through these conversations that Himanshu shared his journey of faith, and Sunnihit was drawn to the powerful message of Jesus Christ. Intrigued, Sunnihit began reading the Bible—each chapter revealing new truths that shook him to his core. He soon understood the overwhelming reality that God had given Himself for those who never even considered others, let alone the One who offered them the gift of life.
Before this, Sunnihit had believed that his own efforts and actions were the key to improving his life. But as he delved deeper into the teachings of Jesus, he realised his own ways were insufficient. He needed the God who had taken on his sins and made a way for him to be saved.
Then came a pivotal moment during his final exams, when Sunnihit fell seriously ill. Despite his condition, Himanshu’s unwavering support reminded him that God was with him. Though Sunnihit could barely lift his head, he found the strength to push forward, and miraculously, he scored exceptionally well. It was a clear sign that God’s favor was upon him.
Sunnihit began to see God’s hand guiding his life in ways he never imagined. Today, he knows that it is through God’s grace that he has become a new and better person. He gives all glory to the One who made it possible, knowing that it was God who transformed him from the inside out. It was God who gave him a new beginning.
