In 2011, Rev Chandra Mani Khanna—a faithful pastor and preacher of God’s Word—faced a trial that would shake the foundation of his life and ministry. Falsely accused and arrested, he spent 14 days in judicial custody. The charges were painful, but the isolation that followed cut deeper. Friends turned away, and even those closest to him kept their distance, likely out of fear.
Inside prison walls, Rev. Khanna found strength in the only thing that remained constant—God’s Word. He clung to verses like, “I will never leave you nor forsake you,” allowing scripture to anchor him amid the storm. Despite his circumstances, the peace he carried caught the attention of prison officials—some even asked for Bibles, moved by what they saw in him.
Outside the prison walls, the ridicule continued. People questioned his faith and mocked his beliefs. But Rev Khanna stood firm. He trusted that God was still at work, even when everything seemed lost. For him, rejection was not the end—it was a place of refining.
When he was released, God began restoring what had been broken. The experience transformed him. Scripture was no longer just words he preached—it became truth lived out in suffering, hope, and perseverance. Rejection had deepened his faith, teaching him that when all else is stripped away, it is faith in God alone that carries us through.
