When Sita Limbu’s husband passed away suddenly from a heart attack, her world collapsed. “In that moment, I felt like I had lost everything,” she recalls. Her elder daughter, away at college in Kolkata, rushed home in tears.
The grief was overwhelming. Sita hid her pain from her daughters, but inside she felt broken and fearful. She even became unwell herself and wondered, If I die now, who will take care of my daughters?
At her lowest moment, Sita asked her neighbor to call a pastor for prayer. He came, prayed with her, and even took her to the hospital. That small act of care marked the beginning of her healing journey.
Finding Strength in Faith
Sita began reading the Bible regularly and proclaiming its words over her family. She prayed, “You are the Father of my daughters; you are everything to us.” God’s presence, she says, filled the emptiness that grief had left behind.
She found courage in declaring, “My peace, my strength, is the Lord. God helped me understand that my fear was crucified with Christ on the cross.” As she continued praying and reading Scripture, the fear that once controlled her life began to fade.
Overcoming Fear and Anxiety
Sita’s elder daughter, Sujata, also grew in faith while studying in Kolkata. She attended church online and read the Bible, learning to rely on God for strength. Together, they began replacing fear with hope.
“Once, I was worried about my family and my future, and I lived in fear,” Sita says. “Today I have overcome it. My peace, my strength, is the Lord.”
A Message of Hope
Sita’s journey reminds us that mental and emotional healing takes time, but it begins with a single step—reaching out for help, praying, and trusting God. Her story shows that even in deep grief, faith can bring peace and new strength.
For everyone who feels brokenhearted today, remember healing is possible. With faith, prayer, and the support of others, peace can return—even after great loss.
